Recent Work

I became a mother in June 2021, and since our son's birth I have gradually found time and inspiration again, creating a series of self-portraits capturing intimate moments of us in the bath. Two naked, natural bodies, sharing the warmth of the water.

Sadly, when he was only three months old, my 90 year old Grandma died. She had an amazing life, though her death triggered traumatic memories of my own mother's death in 2009.

Now, growing into this new person, this mother, with neither of the previous generations of matriarchs before me, I have been struggling with anxiety, loneliness and self-doubt. Calming paintings of beloved views, treasures and glimpses of peaceful moments with my son bring me joy.
